Featuring a streamlined design and precise external controls to vital camera functions, this system enhances the underwater cinematographer's range of options |
Access to Camera Controls. Specially engineered for the Arri SR1, SR2, and SR3 cameras, this system yields unmatched image clarity in the dynamic underwater world. This is in part possible because the housing’s external interface controls for key lens functions are located virtually at the cinematographer’s fingertips. When engaged, Pace’s pin registered lens gearing and ball bearing transmission smoothly and precisely adjust the camera’s zoom, focus and iris. This stable, smooth operation translates into steady, sharp images.
Ergonomic Design. Integral to all Pace products is a fundamental awareness of the particular and extraordinary nature of underwater cinematography. The system is streamlined, compact and meticulously constructed to accommodate a swimmer’s shooting style. As a result of this attention to detail, cinematographers find themselves especially comfortable shooting with Pace’s system. In the water, all Pace housings are neutrally balanced and weigh under half a pound.
Reloading is Easier, Faster. The shell of Pace’s housing is diagonally bisected with a precision-machined seal, allowing its upper diagonal slice to lift off neatly, completely exposing the magazine and batteries. Total access to these components simplifies camera loading and battery changing, saving time between shots. Because it’s not necessary to disconnect cables or remove the camera from its base, it only takes about two to three minutes to change out the battery and magazine.
