The shell of
a Pace housing
is diagonally
bisected with
a precision-machined
seal. The housing's
upper diagonal
slice lifts
off neatly,
completely exposing
the magazine
and batteries
while the camera
is still in
the housing.
Total access
to these components
simplifies camera
loading and
battery changing,
saving time
between shots.
Because it's
not necessary
to disconnect
cables or remove
the camera from
it's base, battery
and magazine
changes take
only two to
three minutes.
Seamless interface to lens control. Designed for the Arri III and Pan Arri cameras, this housing external controls interface directly with the lens gears. When engaged, the system's ball bearing transmission precisely adjust the camera's iris and focus. Ergonomic Design. Like all Pace underwater film systems, our 35mm features reflex viewing. Along with being a more natural and comfortable shooting position, this feature simplifies shooting in limited spaces. Many other systems suffer from a pendulum effect, which occurs when a housing is improperly balanced. Usually this occurs because they are built with majority of the weight in the bottom. The pace system is neutrally balanced: its weight, equally distribute. This makes it easy to operate in any shooting position, with ease. Our system weights under half a pound in the water (topside, it weights about 75 lbs. fully loaded.) The system uses lithium ion batteries. These batteries, which are lighter, enhance the system when shooting higher speeds by giving an uninterrupted video signal. Quality Construction. The housing is constructed of marine grade aluminum that's anodized for corrosion protection. Rated down to 300 feet, this system includes interchangeable dome and flat ports, for underwater and topside shoots in wet locations. |
